Every day in September we are spreading the word about fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD). We will continue to share information about FASD throughout September and beyond in the hopes of bringing all Canadians together to address this disability.
#FeatureFriday – FASD in Canadian news
People with fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD) can have difficult and stigmatizing experiences throughout their lives, as can women who drink alcohol while pregnant. For people who have never knowingly met someone with FASD, the news media could play a key role in shaping their understanding of FASD, alcohol, and pregnancy.
Zero Discrimination Day
In the field of FASD, research into stigma and discrimination is extremely important because stigma and discrimination affect everyone that we serve.
