At CanFASD, our mission has always been to support the leaders across Canada in addressing the extraordinary complexities of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) by producing and sharing important research and resources.  Over the years, we’ve built a range of membership opportunities in response to the evolving needs of our community. Our memberships are designed to help those working with people with FASD build their skills, knowledge, and networks.

Today, we’re excited to announce the launch of our Affiliate Membership, a new way for organizations to strengthen their capacity, grow their teams, and deepen their impact. This membership focuses on skill-building, professional development, and applied knowledge — helping organizations strengthen their services and drive meaningful change in their communities.

Why We Launched the Affiliate Membership

Through ongoing conversations with our community, we heard a consistent message: organizations are looking for ways to make a bigger impact.

While our community values staying connected and informed through our Individual Membership, many organizations are looking for more ways to develop their team. Our Jurisdictional Memberships offer deep policy and systems-level support, but are designed specifically for provincial and territorial governments. When governments choose not to invest in FASD, organizations that work on the ground don’t have the same access to support and resources that organizations in other provinces and territories do.

The Affiliate Membership was created to fill that gap. It offers organizations and agencies a practical, accessible way to build skills, access expertise, and strengthen their work supporting individuals with FASD and their families.

Our Three Membership Options

CanFASD now offers three distinct membership pathways, each designed to meet different needs while advancing our shared goal of improving outcomes for people with FASD across Canada.
