CanFASD is excited to be hosting discussions on the topic of employment for individuals with FASD.
On January 25, 2019, CanFASD, in partnership with the University of Alberta, will be hosting the FASD Employment Initiative in order to provide an opportunity for networking, resource sharing, and reflecting for people invested in seeing individuals with FASD succeed in employment. This initiative is open to employment professionals, support workers/mentors, caregivers, individuals with FASD, policymakers, and anyone else with an invested interest in employment success for individuals with FASD.
We aim to increase understanding about what is involved in fostering employment success with individuals with FASD. The discussions at this initiative will contribute to the development of an implementation guide with strategies, examples, and resources to accompany the Guide for Employment Professionals what was previously developed to assist employment professionals working with adults with FASD. If you are interested in attending, please contact us and we would be happy to share more information with you.
These important conversations will help determine what is involved in fostering employment success with individuals with FASD. Your input will contribute to the development of a guide with strategies, examples, and resources to assist those working with individuals with FASD.
