“Art allows people to say things that can’t be said with a spoken word, especially in the language of a dominate culture.”
-Bruce Barry
This past year has been difficult. We’ve partnered with the Prairie Child Welfare Consortium and the University of Calgary’s Faculty of Social Work to bring you a unique, virtual experience where you can unwind and get creative. We are inviting you to join an online art workshop with two accomplished Indigenous artists: Dr. Marlyn Bennett from Winnipeg, Manitoba and Bruce Barry from Northern Alberta.
“We’ve all been locked down and locked away from each other for far too long. Let’s celebrate as a visual community.”
-Dakota House
The workshop is free but there are some materials you may need to purchase (or find) prior to the event. It’s being held tomorrow, March 27, 2021 from 9:00 to 12:00 mountain time. Spaces are limited to 100 people, so be sure to register now!
