Medical & Psychiatric Diagnosis & Intervention for FASD Across the Lifespan
About this event:
This free workshop includes a half-day training on the medical and psychiatric diagnosis of FASD in Canada. The sessions will seek to educate physicians in the importance of recognising and diagnosing FASD. Physicians will be introduced to the steps of diagnosis and the role they can play. They will be provided with the required Washington Lip-Philtrum guide and ruler. Lastly, physicians will be educated on the relevant interdisciplinary requirements to complete a diagnosis and the appropriate support to follow. This will be in accordance with the new Canadian guidelines for FASD diagnosis (2015).
