Dr. Mela from the University of Saskatchewan is looking for FASD clinicians to help evaluate the first-ever FASD medication algorithm.
Dr. Mansfield Mela, Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Saskatchewan, is currently looking for clinicians to assist with evaluating a medication algorithm for Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD). The medication algorithm is the first-ever treatment recommendation developed specifically for FASD, and was developed by a multidisciplinary panel of experts in 2018.
We are looking for any clinicians who prescribe medications to individuals with FASD/ND-PAE/ARND, including psychiatrists, family doctors, and pediatricians. Individuals with FASD and/or their caregivers are welcome to pass this information along to their doctor.
For more information about the algorithm and the evaluation survey, please visit https://canfasd.ca/algorithm/ or contact Dr. Mela’s research coordinator at andrea.desroches@usask.ca or 306-844-1335.
