Volunteers Needed for a Research Study on Substance Use and Addiction

Different multicoloured hands raised to volunteer.
Overview of the Research

The University of Alberta is currently conducting a research study on substance use and addiction treatment for adults who have or may have Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD).

Drug and/or alcohol problems are potential adverse outcomes that adolescents and adults with FASD may experience. Researchers are looking to learn more about substance use challenges in individuals with FASD and how best to support treatment.

Eligible Participants

The researchers are interested in interviewing adults with FASD who have had experiences of addiction treatment, and caregivers of individuals with FASD who have had experience in supporting their loved ones with addictions.

The interviews will occur over Zoom and will be approximately 30-45 minutes long. In appreciation for your participation, the University of Alberta will be granting $10.00 gift cards to all participants.

If you would like to learn more about this research study or are interested in participating, please email kapasi@ualberta.ca
